It's more nutty and has more hints of caramel as well as vanilla. It has a similar feel to the Spiced Amber Ale, in terms of making you feel warm and like you want to curl up in front of a fire, but in a different way. I do enjoy this beer, although it is a bit sweet for my taste, but if you enjoy beers with a bit of a sugary edge, I would recommend this. Hall and Cleopatra Coleman in this thriller from Jim Mickle ('Cold in July'). Hall, Cleopatra Coleman Watch all you want. My next choice would be the Winter Abbey Ale. A Philadelphia detective slowly unravels as he nurses a lifelong obsession with an enigmatic female serial killer whose crimes defy explanation. It's not very fruity or citrusy like cider, although it gives you that warm feeling in your belly that is just wonderful! I know that sounds weird, but it reminds me of apple cider or a chai latte. Out of this sampler, I am particular to the Spiced Amber Ale because it tastes like the holidays. The other three varieties are: Blue Moon Winter Abbey Ale, Pale Moon, and Blue Moon Spiced Amber Ale. It comes with the standard Blue Moon, which is great for any time of the year. As soon as I hear Winter is coming around I remember that the Blue Moon Brewmaster's Winter Sampler will be stocked in stores near me soon.
